This week I feel like I did a lot of work to find a future eternal companion and become a mother. Hahaha, I went on 3 dates, and babysat 7 kids for 3 days.
So I babysat paul and margarets little kids and they are super super cute. And surprisingly they were really obedient. I only had to put one person (Jane) in timeout one time, when she purposely ran over the little neighboors finger with her scooter. But they all obeyed really well, and they are so funny.
This is a picture of me with Silas, their baby. He is adorable right. I actually miss him a lot. Babies are just so cute, especially him because he hardly even cries. He just is a happy baby.
And Jane is so funny. She will be the next Jessica Vance, she is so loving, and so full of emotions, and really independant and confident. I love her to death. Her favorte color is sparkly hot pink.
And so I got to see them! And babysit them!! Then I came home wednesday, and I had a date Friday night, Saturday morning, and kind of a half date Saturday night. 3 different boys. The first one was blind (one of the rm elders from my mission set me up with his friend Ben and I set him up with my MTC comp that went to Uruguay.) Nevertheless, we went shooting at an indoor shooting range on the date and it was great! The only thing is, really neither of the boys really shot guns before, and my date told me to go first, because he wasnt exactly sure how to work the gun. Wanting to do safety first, before we were shooting I tried to find the safety to make sure it was on (in the end the gun didn't even have a safety) and I hit the made the slide go forward button and cut my hand. Haha, the owners of the range (ex military guys) were laughing pretty hard when I went and asked them for a band aid. (you can see in the pic the tape on my hand) But truth be told, I never liked shooting guns, and was always bad at it. But I kind of made friends with the supervisor guys and when they saw that I cut my hand trying to find the safety they kind of got the hint that we kind of could use some pointers, and the guy totally coached me about how to not get scared when you are going to shoot and how to aim right, and for the first time in my life, I loved shooting guns! The guy told me to relax and not jerk forward a little right when I pull the trigger, and then i tried it (thinking the gun was still unloaded) and I got a really good shot. And then I just started shooting way better than I ever had, because I knew not to jerk forward a little. So now I kind of like shooting guns. Ben was fun too, but I am not too interested.
Then I went on a breakfast date with Paden. He is sharp, the food was so good, have you ever been to the black bear diner . . its way good. We talked a lot about medicine because we both want to go into that field. Then today we went hiking and he tried to hold my hand and put his arm around me . . but I know how to do evasive manuvers. So i am now entering into the part of dating that I HATE. Saying no thanks.
The other date was a really casual date. It was a kid I met a week ago when my friend Kimmi Jonson came over to hang out and brought two of her cousins that I never had met before. And when literally everyone was off froliking with their gf’s and bf’s . . seriously some couples are kind of . . . absorbed in eathother. They forget that there are other people in the room that maybe they could talk to too. Its cute, but also a little awkward sometimes. Anyway, so i ended up talking to the complete strangers and they were super cool. One of them is named Matt. He lives close to the Draper temple, but he went to brighton (i think to be on the soccer team, he was on the soccer team with Jerry). He is katie’s age, but honestly, I never had met the kid. I didnt even recognize him although we walked the same halls for a year. Weird, right. But he is a cool kid, and he asked me out on a date tuesday to go see the new avengers movie, but then I said no b/c I was babysitting. But then I felt bad becasue I felt like he went all the way to get my number from his cousin, and then call me, and make an excuse for calling me, and asked me out, and I told him I was babysitting my little cousins. Sounds like an excuse. So I (dad told me to do this), texted Kimi, his couisn to say that I really would have wanted to go, but I really was babysitting 7 little kids with no way to get out of it or leave. She must have said something to him, because he invited me to watch the hobbit in his house the next day. Anyway, it was way fun, and he is going to come over to watch Avngers 2 with me wednesday. We will see what happens. I am a little interested in him :)
