Its been awhile since I have written a long letter, so this week I am going to try and do one of those what I learned letters . . so just stay with me a little.
One day this week I was with an hermana that was really hating her area. Feels like nothing is happening , they just walk around in the sun all day. And to come to my area she felt like she must be entering into a kind of abundance. That every other area must be better.
That morning she asked me . . . what is your favorite area? and I told her .. . . i think it is 3 bocas. And she said ¨YEah, it seems like a place where everyone loves you and wants to hear about your message, and the members help. I wish my area was like that¨. And I laughed and told her ¨´No, this area is no better than any of my other areas. It has its propblems, we are still kind of struggling to find investigatorss, our bishop has lost almost all of his esperanza that the menos activos will return. No, its not any better than my other areas¨ But I choose to make it my favorite.
The mission is only the best 2 years or 18 months if we choose to make it that way. If we choose to see the miracles, and like it says in Alma 31.
38 Y el Señor les proveyó a fin de que no padeciesen hambre, ni tuviesen sed; sí, y también les dio fuerza para que no padeciesen ningún género de aflicciones que no fuesen consumidas en el gozo de Cristo. Y esto aconteció según la oración de Alma; y esto porque oró con fe.
And I choose to have hope against odds, I choose to have faith. And I choose to be happy here. So then we just have me and the hermana guy, laughing our heads off all day long in the street. talking about who we can help more, talking about how we can teach better. Reliving the miracles [do you remember when he said . . . . and the spirit came in soo strong], and finding the positive in the hard days. Helping everyone we can, not worrying about the rest that isnt in our control. And for that reason, 3 bocas is my favorite. Because i choose to make it my favoirte untill I have a new area, then that one will be my favorite.
And now I will tell you the 3 biggest miracles I saw in 3 bocas this week.
1. There was a little 8 year old named andres. And he is part of an active family that all lives together and goes to church every sunday with his aunt and his grandma,, and one day we were eating lunch with him and we aksed his age and he said 8 and we said Oh, so you got baptized recently! And he said no. And we said well why not. And he said I dont know., And we said, well do you want to ge3t baptixed. And he was sooooo happy and said YES!!! TOMOROW!!! And so we planned his baptism and 3 weeks later he got baptized . . . but . . . really, he is a nino inscito so it wasnt our baptism, the ward had to do it, the bishop had to interview him . . and the bishop, said he would, and we would get his family to bring him, and then the bishop wouldnt show up. and then we would plan another day . . . and the bishop would agree to come, and then he wouldnt come again. And so we got the the day of the baptism (which we planned and did EVERYTHING for) and the bisop didnt come. Everyone was there for the baptism and the bishop coulnt come. He was busy. And we were super stressed and called the bishop and he gave permission for the ward misison leader to interview him (whihc I dont even want to know what the manuales of the iglesia say about that . . . but who knows, maybe its fine) and he got baptized. and then in the end, his super menos activo mom came out and his dad who we had never met before said that the mom wanted to get active again, they anted to get married so that hector could get baptized (the dad) and they could have a active good family in the church. To say our mouths dropped open would be an understatement. It was a huge miracle. So we are going to have a wedding baptism soon!!!
2. A menos activo that was a elders qurom presidente that has yelled at the misisonaries and kicked them out of his house for the past 10 years . . welll we contacted him with huge smiles and lots of exitement and a lot of fear hidden behind all that and then he told us why he inactivated and how he has this huge burden in his heart, and now he drinks, and we told him about the atonement and now he wants to get active again with his family of like 8.
I dont have more time. The third was is super cool too. I will tell you about it the next time!

I have interviews this wednesday. I will talk with the presidente about what I am going to do. I thimk he has something to tell me or talk to me about.
So I am not sure if I will be coming home the week before the 29th or the 29th, or what. I just feel like talking to him, _I will feel strongly what I should do.
But I si o so want to work in the mtc, and live with cass in the fall.
Also bria is engaged. When is she going to get married.

Also,. packages take 2 weeks to get here . . . I got the popcorn like a month ago!!! its was delicious!!!

I sent you a letter the other day, and it should be getting to you, but what I did was I english fasted (ONLY spoke in spanihs) for a couple of days, and I started picking the language up really fast because my mind started to think more in spanish because it knew it coulnt connunicate in english . . I used lots if signs and my spanish was horrible, but eveyone could understand me and I actually kind of set the example because a few of the other misisonaries started doing it to. that was in my fifth week I think, but you could do it in whatever week.
But just write down the miracles in your journal. Count them EVERY NIGHT and you will be lots happier and more exited and you will just love love love the CCM: You will see the lords hand in your life lots!

Ok that seems awesome! I have heard about people doing them but never for that long! Ill try it out. I love it here honestly and it is really a cool experience to serve the lord! Your almost done! Brian felt stopped by a few times before I left and you should marry him when you get home because I like him a lot!;) Ive been keeping a journal and ill start to do the miricle thing because that sounds like an sick idea. I have really only used the book of mormon that you sent me for christmas here and it is fun to feel like you are talking to me when I read! I love you and I really Love it here
