This week there were so many miralces. But I will try to tell a few.
So last week I told you about pedrom right. Well this week on wednesday we taught him and he said he liked everything that we teach him, loves reading the bom and everything but told us that he might have to go to the chaco (like the border of bolivia . . . 18 hours away) on friday to work, and if he goes, he prob wouldnt come back for like 8 months. we started praying hard that he would not go. Also that he would get his answer (becasue although he loves everything the church does he doesnt want to get baptized that much . . . doesnt want to leave his past life behind and dedicate himself to God).
And then we came back friday to teach him and . . . his mom (who doesnt like our religion she told us) said that he had gone to the chaco, didnt know when he was going to get back. And so there we were in the hot street with two members and our best investigator had just dropped us. And I took a deep breath, and we went to buy water from the dispensa . . and we went to find nuevos and visit other people.
And we found a couple new cool people, and had a couple lessons with menos activos that dont really want to stop being offended with the liders of the branch, but in the end, Saturday night, really nobody was able to go to church. But we were happy, just praying that whatever happened domningo, that we could be happy and have good attitudes. So we went to church sunday, and walking to church we saw a little abula walking, and we realized it was an menos activa that we had visited this week. And there she was walking along the road, going to church with her active daughter in law for the first time in like 3 years. We were soo happy!!!! So then we went to RS and at the end of the class I was thinking. Well the teacher for gospel principles hasnt gotten here yet so . . . I guess it will be us teaching again, when after the prayer, the door opened and in walked in . . . . .. . PEDRO!!!!!!!!! I said ¨No me diga!¨ (or in english something like Ño way!) and shook his hand. He had a devilish grin because he knew that he had really surprised us.
After church he told us he came back from the chaco (i guess it was only a weekend trip?? we dont know) and after a red eye bus trip, got home at 7 in the morning, showered, laid down to sleep in his bed got all comfy, and something pushed him (or prompted him) that he had to go to church. He had told us (and God) that he was going to go to church, and he knew he had to go. So he got up, got dressed, and took a bus to the church. And he went!!! And asked us to show him the baptismal font (which had a couple inches of water and a big dead cockroach because our drainage thing is broken in this ward and it is super hard to drain the font) . . . oops.
So pray for pedro that he recognizes his answer. Really, he has his answer but he just is afraid to recognize it. But he is sooo close. So pray for him.
Also I read grandpa L{s talk about having the testimony of crist in your heart and it inspired me a lot about how we can help the members be better missionaries. ITs not about what we think they need to do to be good member misisoaries. We just have to invite them to go to the lord and ask HIM how they can párticipate in the obral misioanl.
Anyway, I love you all!!
