This week was stake conference and I loved all that we learned. I think that my whole life I have thought stake conference was a little too long to be siting in hard chairs, but my president (who came to speak) said that he remembers well his first stake conference. He was part of the choir (he converted with his wife at the age or 25 or 30). He nvited his parents, and his parents felt the spirit so strong in the srake conf that they heard the missionaries, and a month later got baptized, and are super active today. He is just one of those people that every story he tells ends with, and they got baptized and are still active today. I want to be someone that has had experiences like that too. And after that, I realized how much I should love stake conf. Its like general conf, but just for the stake.
Thanksgiving was great! We ate chicken and rolls and sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes. Oooh, and we made pumpkin pie. That was my favorite part.
Fun fact . . Paraugy doesnt celebrate thanksgiving, BUT does celebrate Black Friday. .
The other miracle this week is that our cita fell though and it was like 8 15 in the night. And all the other people we normally could visit . . . we were far away from their house . . . and my comp sat down . . . we didnt know what to do (because sometimes contacting in the night, clapping houses, less people are going to open the door because they are scared) But I didnt just want to give up and go home, so I looked at what I had in my bag. I had already given away my BOM, and also my folletos. But I had some contact give away cards. So I smiled, and told my comp my plan. She was a little incredulous, but I was determined. So we started giving our cards to the peope in the street and contacting them. I loved it, and it made us so happy to be able to do something with the last 30 minutes of our day (and my comp was super happy after doing it.)
So that was a miracle!
But, man! Its almost cristmas time!! How happy that that makes me!
