Miracles of this week . . . . (just a few of them)

Ok, so this week was week 5 in the CCM which is traditionally the week where everyone starts sagging in their desire to work hard, and hope that one day they will every get out of the mtc, and or ever learn the language.   But this week I have really felt the support of all those at home, so it has been great.  Everytime I start feeling like I want to slow down or that spanish is hard, a miracle would occur and I would be reminded that I had people at home supporting me.

Firstly, last sunday I wore the jacket that I brought to church.  And I guess the last time I wore it was my farewell because I heard a crumple and pulled out a peice of paper that said ´´We Love Liza´´.  It was a little sign some of my friends made at my farewell to flash at me to try to make me laugh.   And I just felt so bouyed up.  I had friends at home that had all come to my farewell to support me.  I was so happy.

Then I went to the temple and I had been thinking about my family a lot and wishing I was home with my sister, who had just got home from her mission, and then in the temple I felt so much better, and I knew that I was being watched over, and so was my family, and so I just need to go to work.  And then, I wasn{t homesick anymore.  I was happy!

Now for some funny stories.

For halloween me and my comps all pretended to be each other.  It was so funny! And we acted like eachother all day (when we werent studying or doing serious stuff of course).  My comp with really really curly hair straightened her hair to look like me.  It was so funny all day.  Then the president of the CCM who had just been at a conference for mission presidents brought us some candy, so we got halloween candy.  It was so much fun!  But I have to say the best part of the day was that night.  Our latin roomates had carried around brooms all day because they were being witches.  But first, an introduction.  Hna Fasinando is from Peru and is crazy, but in the most hilarious way.  I love her soooo much.  I will see if I can attatch a picture so you can see her.  Anyway, she asked us how to say ´´Yo nací americano´´ because we always joked that our spanish was perfect because we were all born latina.  Anyway, so then she asked us what bruja was and we told her it was witch.  She was going to be a witch for halloween.  That was her costume.  Anyway, so later that day (I was not there for this but I heard about it afterward and we all died laughing) she yelled, to all of the people in the commedor (basically the main dining area, slash where all the missionaries spend most of the time when they are not in class) ´´I was born american witch´´.  Bbbbuuutttt, in spanish w is a really hard letter to prounounce, so she pronounced the w as a b . . . . and said something NOT appropreate for a missionary to say.  And Hna Recio (proucounced Rethio because is is from Ethpaña . . . ) just put her face in her palms, because she understood enough english to know what that means.  And everyone else in the commedor went quiet, and then died laughing.  Aw man, I love that girl.  She is now on her mission in Argentina.  I miss her already.

Now a story from proselyting!!  So this week it was cold when we proselyted aka not much sucess, BUT dont worry because there are always always miracles when you go proselyting and this week it was that we met up with the actual Buenos Aires sisters in our area!!  They were so nice and we knocked doors with them for a little while!! I was so cool to see them.  And they were so happy!!  I want to be as happy as they are!!  One of them also emailed us this week and told us that she loved meeting up with us, and if we have questions just email her.  I love being apart of this sisterhood of sister missionaries.  It is so strengthening to know that there are so many people out there, proselyting with you!!

Anyway,
I love you all,
Hna Jarman

Me touching my mission.  It was too high for me to touch without the bench.  But notice how small it is compared to the other missions . . . interesting hugh.

This is the girl (the one in pink) that I had a full length convo with one night in spanish and it was the first time that I really felt like I actually communicated with someone in Spanish.  She was definately a miracle.

Me and my comps during halloween.

Hna Fasinando . . . I love her!!

Mom,
I have no time.

But I want to tell you a cool experience.

When I was in the temple, I was really worried about the family.  I missed them.  But then I recieved a very strong witness that there are as many angels with you as there are with me.  So you have so many angels with you.  Also, on fast sunday I was praying about my fast and I felt like you were fasting for me too.  That because of your faith, my desires would be given to me.

so know that I feel you support and that I love you with all my heart.  I am doing well.  The mtc is great.  And I love you!

Liza
