This week we had a miracle baptism. Her name is Nelly and she is 13. And her baptism was a miracle. By that I mean that at 9 pm the night before, we didnt have keys to fill the font, and had no way of getting them from our ward mission leader. Ya, I learned a lot about faith.
But it was such a miracle because the next morning, everything turned out soo perfectly. It was such a miracle. And the spirit was super strong in her baptism. She was so prepared. We literally contacted or tracked into her 2 weeks ago. She had all of her church attendences, and passed the baptismal interview questions super easy. She had a testimony super strong. It probably was the best contacting expereince of my mission, because we clapped at a door and found someone perfectly ready to be baptized. But then a million roadblocks came up and we had a million reasons why we coulnt baptize her and then this and that. So we prayed about it and decided to press forward with it anyway. And everyone came together, and the ward really helped out, and there were so many miracles that I saw this weekend. I now have a testimony that there is always a way that a person can recieve the ordinances of the gospel. You just have to have a little bit of faith.
I think the funniest moment was that we didnt have the clothes for her baptism, so we had to go to Tayusape, 10 minutes away, and get their clothes(still dripping wet from their batism), take the clothes home and wash them and then dry them with a fan. So you know its a good weekend when you have to dry the clothes by fan because you dont have time inbetween baptisms to dry them in the air. Or that your chapel really needs to get baptismal clothes of their own.
Bueno, I love you all.
