Ahh, so much to write and my english is only getting worse.
I am in a new area. Villa Anita (Vee-ah-knee-tuh). It is a suburb of Nemby (Knee-em-buuh). My comp is Hna Huanca from Arakipa Peru and the most loving humble person I have ever met. And I am killing her. Aka, this is her last change in the mission. I lov her, I love my area, and for the first time this week I wore my coat. Aka. Paraguay is . . . . por fin! . . . cooling down. Actually I feel like I just started my mission over again. Because now its cold, I have a new comp, and my area is way different. But this time I can speak Spanish and this is a really good thing. But I english is getting worse. I can still talk perfectly. but it is just slower. But I am starting to practice my english with hna Huanca and so I will be able to talk really well on mothers day. But I still have an accent. I sound a little bit american still.
But, wow. I feel like nothing has changed in these 6 moths, but then I come and write you guys and its like everything changed with you guys. You guys are all growing up ridiculously fast. And Katie is married. What.
Quick facts about Villa Anita.
Its a ward, but feels more like a brach.
In San Lorenzo we had like 8 rms in our ward. All of the leadership was RMs. In VA, we dont have one single returned missionary. Which changes the way you work with your ward mission leader and your consejo of the ward, because they dont think the way missionaries think. But the ward is soooooo willing to help us out. They really want their ward to grow. Also the chapel is a rental. They dont have a chuchi chapel, but if they have lots of members, they are going to get one. so everyone is working really hard to have people active. In SL the chapel was for the stake and had an insitute. MEGA chapel.
In general, VA is a little bit more country. Lots more trees, lots more adorable places to walk down the cobblestone roads. And its not boiling hot. Basically VA is just chulina. (adorable - - - I am practicing my guarani for mothers day too, becasue you guys are going to love guarani. Its nothing like spanish. Its like german with your nose plugged. I love it! But cant speak it for the life of me.)
This week, the NIGHT I got the call that I was going to get transferred we challenged Catolino and Monica (the parents of Mattias) to get married and get baptized THAT WEEK, that Saturday. And they said yes. We floated all the way home and then I got the call that I was being transferred. So I missied my San Lorenzo wedding by 5 days, but I am super happy to know that this family is now members of the church. Maybe one day I will get to see pics.
Oh my goodness, I love you guys so much, and I am going to have to not write you more often because I got a letter from almost every person in the family! Haha.
Ok, the countdown because I love hearing about your lives.
Mom and Dad. Wow, you guys are such hard workers. Every week I feel like I do a lot and am really busy, and then I hear about your weeks. Sheesh.
Katie and Trent. I bought you something super cute the other day in SL. It is a mate guampa with your names and day of your wedding. It is really cute. So Trent, you have to help katie learn to love mate while I am gone. Also, I bought one for mom and dad. So you have to teach mom and dad what is mate.
Stephen. Prom sounds super cute. I know that you are busy having senioritis, but you need to write me and answer me these questions. Uno. Do you have a girlfriend. Dos. What is her name. Tres. Where are you going to live at BYU. What classes are you going to take. You should take Tennis. Its really fun. _And a good class to pick up the chics I have heard.
Anna, I have to say that your letters are treasures. Whenever I see a hand written note on 5 pages of notepad paper, I get soooo exited. Your letters about Nepal made me want to laugh and talk to you about istanbul. Ahhhh. How awesome. We will have to share our Turkey stories sometime. Also the headbands are adorable. And you HAVE to colunteer at Primary Childrens. Kids crew. Look it up on the internet. Shriners is cool, but pcmc kids crew is even better! You are working with kids all day long. Also puppet troupe in pcmc is super super fun. Talk to Brian Felt. Mom has his number. He can help you, because he did kids crew. ALso look up how to begin volunteering in intermountain helthcare in the internet.
Caroline, see my other letter.
Spencer . . . Hahahahahaha. Are you trying to make me truckie!? I least expected you to be the one that would say ¨Can you believe that you only have ONE year left on your mission.¨ This is so funny. Also I am sorry that your physical side is going downhill. I think it comes with age. Happens to the best of us.
Well, Love you all!
Hermana Jarman
Dear Lina,
First of all, I love you so much. Second of all, I am not perfect. I never was. Third of all, I had the same problem as you when I was exactly your age. I felt like I had no friends, and that nobody liked me. And its really hard, and you feel really lonely. I cried and cried to mom, and nothing she said could make it better. But the only thing that made it better was reading the book of mormon. So we are going to do something ok. You are going to read the book of mormon in one year. I know that you will start seminary, and it will be hard to read the book in seminary and the book of mormon. But just do it. A chapter a day.
I come home april 6th, 2016. So you have till this day to finish it. And every week, I want you to write me and tell me what you learned. And I will read with you and I will tell you something that I learned about the chapters you are studying this week. OK!?!
So this week you have to read the first 5 chapters. 1 Nephi 1-5. Not in family scripture study, by yourself in your room. And start your studyies with a prayer, and prayer to understand the scriptures and apply them in your life. And that you can feel the love of god and be comforted. That is what I did. and that is what made me happy. There wasnt anything else that could make me happy. But Caroline, _I can testify that the BOM changes lives, because it changed mine. When I had 13 or 14 years old. It made me happy.
I love you,
Love
Liza
