July 6, 2015

This week the Lord taught me a lot.  I think it is in the moments where we turn most to the Lord that we reieve the most blessings.

First of all, our mission president left.  And in his last testimony he said to us ¨We are happy because we started our mission, and now we are finishing.  While he was presidente of mision I think somewhere around 2500 to 3000 people were baptized in his mision.  And that being his final words.  That he just finished.  But he finished so well.  And it just made me realize again and again that the Lord doesnt require perfection, he just asks that we try in this life, and then we finish.  That we give all that we have, and then we go home to our celestial home.  Its so simple, and so beautiful.

Also these past 2 domingos we have had miracles.  Lots of them.  Last sunday we tried all morning to get investigators to come, in the rain, but nothing seemed to work.  So we got to church to teach gospel principles a little stressed.  And as we started to teach the lesson, it was on faith in Jesus christ.  And as the lesson went on I felt the spirit touching my heart like it does so often, That I could try again, I could have faith.  Then I had to start teaching my part of the lesson.  And just as I started testifying that faith is trusting in God that when we give our effort he will do the rest, our investigator walked in, all wet from the rain.  It was one of those miracles you really cant deny.  God tried my faith, and then came the miracle.

This sunday we had an investigator that we really really wanted to come, and she went shopping with her mom in the morning. And after that we were like, man, who else can we pass by for . .  And then we remembered that there was a couple that said that they would go to church ¨si dios quiere¨which here means . . .  probaly not (although I love when they say this because I always respond, dont worry, God wants it. I promise you Dios quiere).  And they said they would wait for us in the corner, but then they werent there.  We decided to pass by for the house where they are living and just as I was about to clap I saw them sitting in front of the house, all bundled up because it was really cold, ready to go.  I think my jaw literally dropped.  Message . . . we have to invite everyone because we never know who are the elect.  Who will chose to accept your invitations to come to christ.  They are so cute, Herman and Juliana.  Juliana has a problem with chewing tobaco, so pray for her, because they really want to get married and baptized this month but cant until she stops and she is really nervous all the time (but the husband doesnt smoke or even drink beer , ,. this is a miracle in paraguay because beer is a huge thing here . .  I just know that one day they will get baptized and I just hope that I will be here for their wedding)!

Also we have an investigator named Mattias, and he is super cool.  Turned 18 yesterday and even on his birthday went to churhc (he is the person from the first sunday story).  He is so cool, and he struggles to read the bom because there are a lot of big words but his testimonio is this . . . I was doing all the bad things, and then I met the Fla Arce (family of the bishop) and then I just wanted to hang out with them, be like them.  They are happy and fun and I wanted to know why.  And then I started sharing with your guys and started living the commandments and now I just have a peace I didnt have before.

He is so cool!

Anyway, I Love you All!
